I am a Senior Research Scholar in Observational High-energy Astrophysics at the Raman Research Institute. I am working with Prof. Biswajit Paul. Earlier, I did my Bachelor's from St. Xavier's College, University of Calcutta and Master's in Physics from University of Delhi. My hometown is Jhikira which is a very remote small town in the Hoogly district in West Bengal. I completed my secondary and higher secondary education at Nava Nalanda High School, Kolkata

I work on time series and spectroscopic analysis of X-ray emission from High Mass X-ray Binary Pulsars. Our group is also involved in the development of a hard X-ray polarimeter POLIX to be launched onboard Indian space mission XPoSat.
I studied my Masters, M.Sc. (Physics) in the Department of Physics and Astrophysics, University of Delhi. My masters research project was on the study of "Primordial Magnetogenesis" undr the supervision of Prof. T.R. Seshadri.
I did my bachelors in B.Sc. Physics (Honors) in the Department of Physics, St. Xavier's College, (Autonomous) Kolkata. My minors subject were Mathematics and Computer Scienc.
